Get to know your Street Fighters!

Ryu is the main character of our story. He's very dedicated to his martial arts and is always trying to better his skills. He was raised in the country so he's sort of a country bumpkin. He and his best friend, Ken, have been training together since they were little kids. I guess Ryu's only interest is his martial arts; he's never seen hitting on a girl, spends most of his time training . . . maybe he's gay.

Ken is very, very rich. He lives in San Francisco with his parents in a HUGE mansion (it takes 20 minutes to get from his front yard to his house!). He's spent a lot of time training as well, but not as much as Ryu. His mother is Japanese so he's half Japanese. He's got a great sense of style, probably because he can afford all the cool clothes, and he rides a motercycle. But, because he's rich and spoiled, he is your typical rich snob. He can be quite arrogant sometimes and seems to think he's better than everyone else. Him and Chun-li appear to have an intrest in one another, and he can afford to show her a good time.

Guile is your kick-ass Air Force sergent. He has pride in the Air Force and his men, and likes to go out drinking with them whenever they can. He's been through a lot with his partner, Charlie Nash, for the past many years. As a milatary person he likes to work out a lot and lift weights, but he doesn't study martial arts. Just your typical hand-to-hand combat, but he's very good at it. No matter how long you've studied martial arts, you do not want to get in Guile's way!

Being one of the only female fighters in the group, a lot of people look up to Chun-li. And it doesn't hurt that she's really cute as well. But she's not weak at all. She's super fast and does some good butt-kicking of her own. She was trained by her father from the time she could walk. But she's not manly at all; she's still quite femenine. She likes to shop and dress up; and she has natural girlish beauty. Her and Ken seem rather close and she doesn't mind him spoiling her at all.

Dorai is Chun-li's father and trainer. He has a tough job being the chief of Hong Kong police as well as the head of interpol. He probably worries about his daughter's safety, since the bad guys would be likely to go after her to get to him; but he knows she can take care of her self (after all, she was trained by the best).

Fei Long is a god among men and should be worshipped as such. He's a total Bruce Lee look-alike. He's also a movie star and a little stuck-up because of it. But he's so cute he gets away with it. He was trained by Dorai as well and is very good at what he does. He would do anything for his "Ce fou" and is a good friend to the family. He loves a good brawl and thinks the stund men he often has to fight arn't worthy of his skills. I'd romp with him anyday . . .

Sagat is the king of Muey Thai, which is the most vicious form of martial arts. When he fought professionaly he was the champion of Thailand and everyone simply called him "Champ." That is, until he was framed for selling drugs and stuck in prison until Ken and Ryu showed up and cleared his name. But when he was in prison, the other inmates treated him with much respect and served him like he was their master. He's very proud of his art and is offended when someone thinks they're good enouth to learn it. He kicks butt.

Dhalsim is the scary monk who lives in a remote village in India. The people of his village look up to him and go to him for advice. He's a practicioner of yoga and has some psychic abilities. He knows much about Hadou and teaches it to Ken and Ryu . . . when they prove their worthiness.

Vega is the popular bullfighter in Barcelona with a lust for blood and no value for life (other than his own). Not only is he a bullfighter, he's also a cage fighter for rich socialites. This guy is just plain evil. Nobody dies until he comes in. He develops an obsession for Chun-li, calles her his "pretty lady." She's slightly attracted to him but is turned off by his psycoticness. But he still followes her around and, needless to say, this downright ticks Ken off!

We know surprisingly very little about Bison. Except that he cares for no one but himself. He's totally psycho and has the ability to use this psychoticness as a very powerful attack called Psycho Power (gee, where'd they come up with that kind of name?). Bison is leader of the private empire known as Shadowlaw. His only goal in life is to be the most powerful person in the world, both physically and politically. And he spends his time makeing a perfect "cyber soldier."

Balrog is the ex-boxer, interpol agent gone bad. He works for Shadowlaw as a spy on the good guys at interpol. This guy is ugly, a bad actor (did he really think the chief would fall for his pityful "Dorai can't be dead!" act?), and he can't fight worth a damn. He's a big butthead!

Cammy is the beautiful assain who is a firm follower of God. Before, after, and during a hit, she always makes sure to ask His forgiveness. She has much pride and believes when she's hired for a job, the death of her target must come from her hand, not as an accident. She makes no attempt to cover up that it was murder. She takes everything very seriously and has, like, no sense of humor. She hates, more than anything, to be double crossed; so anyone attempting to deceive her had better think twice!

Zangief is the biggest, hairiest, stupidest person I've ever seen in my life (next to my sister). Yet, he seems almost like a teddy bear. Speaking of bears, his previous occupation was a bear wrestler. He is Shadowlaw's wrestler who beats the life out of anyone who tresspasses on Bison's land. He doesn't want to hurt and kill people, but he's just following orders. He doesn't seem to understand that he's working for the bad guys. And he doesn't seem to realize his strength. He's dangerous, but not bad. Just . . . stupid.
