First stop, Hong Kong. That's where all the fights are anyway, right? Luckly their beautiful tour guide Chun-Li Xiang knows where to find all the action. The pits of Hong Kong, Kowloon Palace. Hope our heroes are up to this.
Time to go to the movies and visit a REAL action hero. Introducing the fast, powerful, and increadibly sexy Fei Long Sawada, a student of Chun-Li's father and good friend. He's such a big cutie! I love him, I love him!! He's had problems finding a skilled fighter for his movies. There are no challenges and he likes to play rough! What's this? Ken really knows how to fight?! Well why didn't you say so. Hey Ken, how would you like to be in the next Fei Long movie?
And now it's time to go to... the mall? Ryu isn't too happy about this, it's just not his thing. But he does encounter a strange old man who generates a ball of blue flame from his hands, swallows it, and it explodes in his stomach! I must not go to the mall enough. He explains to Ryu the power of Ki, and even teaches him a few things about it. How was Ryu suppose to know he was a legendary martial artist? He thought the guy was just some crazy old man.
Meanwhile back at Chun-Li's home, it's time to practice. We finally get to see Chun-Li kick butt!
Ken and Ryu have seen something they really like: Thai Boxing! Next stop, Thailand. All they want is to learn some cool Muay Thai, but those drug trafficers arn't quite finished with their revenge. At customs, Ryu is framed and found with DRUGS in his bag! Curse those evil drug users. Now Ryu is going to jail, and a very unpleasent jail at that, and Ken must find the man who framed his friend.
Ryu wanted to learn Thai Boxing anyway, right? Introducing sell mate Victor Sagat, a huge hulking mass of muscle and Muay Thai. Dispite first impressions, he turns out to be a really okay guy, and teaches Ryu a thing or two about Thai Boxing, and that sometimes you have to trust your own skills before you start copying other people's. Meanwhile Ken has found the butt-head who set his friend up. Ryu, you're free to go. But admit it, you're gonna miss the place. What's Ken gonna think of your big friend?
"The beasts are coming." Ken and Ryu take the Ganges river to the cute little village, where they hope to meet a martial artist master named Dhalsim. No he's not little and green - he's tall, skinny, bald ... and has no pupils in his eyes. And he knew they were coming. What?! What do you mean you won't teach us? And why do you call us Beasts?
Theives arrive in the middle of the night, planning to steel a cursed treasure from within a forbidden cave. Two of the four enter the cave, neither return alive. Hmmmm. Plan B, take the village hostage and make the two foreign boys run in there and get it. Why does Dhalsim like this idea? This will be your test, Ken and Ryu. Within this cave is a Monster which reflects your very soul. Defeat it, and you will survive.
Remember that "Ki" stuff Ryu learned earlier? Under the discipline of Dhalsim, our two heroes learn how to gather and channel it. Well, actually Ryu learns how to do this. Ken just watches. The powerful energy is then fired from his hands in a blast known as the Hadou Ken! Cool. Hey, have you guys forgotten about Chun-Li? Well, her dad is inviting the two of you to recieve an award in Spain for stopping Ashura, and she'll be there. It's a good thing it only takes two or three days for these guys to master a new technique. Next stop, Spain.
Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li are in Barcelona, Spain. Let's go to the bull fights! The matador is a handsome young man named Vega, and he's puttin' the moves on Chun-Li! Calm down Ken, she's not turned on by this blood-thirsty psycho. That night, Vega makes a surprise midnight visit in Chun-Li's bedroom. Okay Ken, now you can get mad.
Dear Ken and Chun-Li, you are invited to attend a martial arts match for the social elite. Wear something nice. Signed... Vega again?! Yup, he's also a champion cage fighter. And he selects Ken as his next opponent. Needless to say, Ken couldn't be happier at this chance to beat the heck out of him. This is probably the coolest fight in the series. And is that Bison in the audience? Hmmm...
Bison kidnapps both Ken and Chun-Li. Ken's out for the count, he's not gonna be fighting back anytime soon. But Chun-Li isn't about to give up so easily, and puts up a pretty good fight against Bison. Darn that evil Psyco-Power of his! Chun-Li better be careful, or she may end up dead. Speaking of which, introducing Cammy - the assassin hired to kill Dorai! It's not a good day for the Good Guys.
Zangief succeeds in kidnapping Ryu and dragging his butt back to Shadowlaw HQ. How convenient for Guile and Nash, who have just arrived in the country. In an escape effort, Ryu faces up against Bison! I don't think he's quite ready for this yet. Hadou Ken against Psycho Power, and they blow up the entire east wing of the building. Better luck next time, Ryu.
Okay, we're all about sick of the Chun-Li getting choked flash back and Ken's constant screaming. And Fei Long arrives in Spain for a visit with his mentor. What?! He's Dead?! Nooooo!!! This scene made me cry, too. Poor Fei Long, how I wish I could comfort you, you big cutie. He didn't take it very well.
Chun-Li is alive?! Not only is she alive, she's got a cyberchip in her head too, and she's turned into a mindless slave of distruction. Personally, I think she's pretty cool like this. Maybe Ken will keep her like this when it's all finished...
