But Looking Better Every Day
I know Sakura doesn't belong here, but she's too cute!
Introducing Street Fighter II V (as in Victory!), a brand new Anime from Manga Entertainment. Based on the popular video game 'Street Fighter II' by Capcom, this story takes place in the character's youth, before they became the legendary Street Fighters.

Vol.1 - The Journey Begins

Ken Masters - the richest kid in America, and Ryu Hoshi- the country bumkin from Japan, are two best friends and martial arts experts. Reunited after many years apart, they've got a lot of catching up to do. What better way then to pick fights at the local bar, right? Well, they learn the hard way that skill alone isn't enough when it comes to a real fight. You need experience! Determined to improve their street fighting abilities (after getting the heck kicked out of them by Guile), the two set out to travel the world and get into as many fights as possible. Check out these rippling biceps!

First stop, Hong Kong. That's where all the fights are anyway, right? Luckly their beautiful tour guide Chun-Li Xiang knows where to find all the action. The pits of Hong Kong, Kowloon Palace. Hope our heroes are up to this.

Vol. 2 - Darkness at Kowloon Palace

Wow! These guys are better at this then they thought. Too bad not everyone is as impressed. Loosing to an outsider is seen as a discrace, and Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li must now escape with their lives! You got into this place and didn't have a plan for getting out!?

Time to go to the movies and visit a REAL action hero. Introducing the fast, powerful, and increadibly sexy Fei Long Sawada, a student of Chun-Li's father and good friend. He's such a big cutie! I love him, I love him!! He's had problems finding a skilled fighter for his movies. There are no challenges and he likes to play rough! What's this? Ken really knows how to fight?! Well why didn't you say so. Hey Ken, how would you like to be in the next Fei Long movie?

And now it's time to go to... the mall? Ryu isn't too happy about this, it's just not his thing. But he does encounter a strange old man who generates a ball of blue flame from his hands, swallows it, and it explodes in his stomach! I must not go to the mall enough. He explains to Ryu the power of Ki, and even teaches him a few things about it. How was Ryu suppose to know he was a legendary martial artist? He thought the guy was just some crazy old man.
Meanwhile back at Chun-Li's home, it's time to practice. We finally get to see Chun-Li kick butt!

Ryu, Street Fighter II V

Vol. 3 - The Revenge of Ashura

Did you know Chun-Li's father Dorai is not only the Chief of Police, but is head of Interpol, an organization fighting the drug traffic in Hong Kong?! He hasn't made many friends. Now Ashura, the drug syndicate boss, plans to get this cop out of his way - permanently! What better way than to hire a bunch of Muay Thai Kickboxers to kick the living hell out of him. Too bad he didn't plan on Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, and Fei Long to be there too. Let's get ready to rumble!

Ken and Ryu have seen something they really like: Thai Boxing! Next stop, Thailand. All they want is to learn some cool Muay Thai, but those drug trafficers arn't quite finished with their revenge. At customs, Ryu is framed and found with DRUGS in his bag! Curse those evil drug users. Now Ryu is going to jail, and a very unpleasent jail at that, and Ken must find the man who framed his friend.

Ryu wanted to learn Thai Boxing anyway, right? Introducing sell mate Victor Sagat, a huge hulking mass of muscle and Muay Thai. Dispite first impressions, he turns out to be a really okay guy, and teaches Ryu a thing or two about Thai Boxing, and that sometimes you have to trust your own skills before you start copying other people's. Meanwhile Ken has found the butt-head who set his friend up. Ryu, you're free to go. But admit it, you're gonna miss the place. What's Ken gonna think of your big friend?

Vol. 4 - Dark Omen

Now it's time for some revenge of their own! Ken and Ryu have tracked down the evil drug lord Ashura. How dare you make Ryu go to prison, get whipped, beat up, and eat premium prime rib dinners! Feind! You're goin' down! That big-eyed freak had this coming a long time ago.
That taken care of, Sagat's name is also cleared and he is free to go. When Ken and Ryu go to see him off, Sagat tells them about a very special man in India who can teach them wonderful things. ...Like Hadou! Next stop, India.

"The beasts are coming." Ken and Ryu take the Ganges river to the cute little village, where they hope to meet a martial artist master named Dhalsim. No he's not little and green - he's tall, skinny, bald ... and has no pupils in his eyes. And he knew they were coming. What?! What do you mean you won't teach us? And why do you call us Beasts?

Theives arrive in the middle of the night, planning to steel a cursed treasure from within a forbidden cave. Two of the four enter the cave, neither return alive. Hmmmm. Plan B, take the village hostage and make the two foreign boys run in there and get it. Why does Dhalsim like this idea? This will be your test, Ken and Ryu. Within this cave is a Monster which reflects your very soul. Defeat it, and you will survive.

Vol. 5 - The Legend of Hadou Ken

The Old Man - and Hado! Remember that "Ki" stuff Ryu learned earlier? Under the discipline of Dhalsim, our two heroes learn how to gather and channel it. Well, actually Ryu learns how to do this. Ken just watches. The powerful energy is then fired from his hands in a blast known as the Hadou Ken! Cool. Hey, have you guys forgotten about Chun-Li? Well, her dad is inviting the two of you to recieve an award in Spain for stopping Ashura, and she'll be there. It's a good thing it only takes two or three days for these guys to master a new technique. Next stop, Spain.

Ken, Ryu, and Chun-Li are in Barcelona, Spain. Let's go to the bull fights! The matador is a handsome young man named Vega, and he's puttin' the moves on Chun-Li! Calm down Ken, she's not turned on by this blood-thirsty psycho. That night, Vega makes a surprise midnight visit in Chun-Li's bedroom. Okay Ken, now you can get mad.

Dear Ken and Chun-Li, you are invited to attend a martial arts match for the social elite. Wear something nice. Signed... Vega again?! Yup, he's also a champion cage fighter. And he selects Ken as his next opponent. Needless to say, Ken couldn't be happier at this chance to beat the heck out of him. This is probably the coolest fight in the series. And is that Bison in the audience? Hmmm...

Vol. 6 - The Unveiled Ruler

Ryu is at the beach, trying to master Hadou Ken. He's not having the best of luck, it keeps knocking him out. But he's getting better. Meanwhile, Ken and Vega are still at it. But in the end, Ken proves to be the better fighter. Vega got his hits in though, and poor Ken has been hacked and slashed to unconsciousness. In fact, the only person it has been a good day for is Bison. You mean to say the kid I've been watching is Ken Masters of America?! Do you know how much money he's worth! And his girlfriend is the only daughter of Dorai?! Don't get too excited Bison, or you'll wreck another chair.

Bison kidnapps both Ken and Chun-Li. Ken's out for the count, he's not gonna be fighting back anytime soon. But Chun-Li isn't about to give up so easily, and puts up a pretty good fight against Bison. Darn that evil Psyco-Power of his! Chun-Li better be careful, or she may end up dead. Speaking of which, introducing Cammy - the assassin hired to kill Dorai! It's not a good day for the Good Guys.

Vol. 7 - Special Orders to the Iron Men

If you kidnap the richest kid in America, you can expect the best rescue operation available. Who better than Special Forces Officers Guile and Nash? They've been through worse, breaking into Shadowlaw should be no problem. Meanwhile at the beach, Ryu is about to get an unwanted visit by Shadowlaw member Zangief! This big hairy dunce is cute, in an overgrown teddybear kind of way. Dumb as a box of rocks, but cute. And did Cammy just kill Dorai?! Ooooh, wait until my baby Fei Long finds out!

Zangief succeeds in kidnapping Ryu and dragging his butt back to Shadowlaw HQ. How convenient for Guile and Nash, who have just arrived in the country. In an escape effort, Ryu faces up against Bison! I don't think he's quite ready for this yet. Hadou Ken against Psycho Power, and they blow up the entire east wing of the building. Better luck next time, Ryu. Fei Long!

Okay, we're all about sick of the Chun-Li getting choked flash back and Ken's constant screaming. And Fei Long arrives in Spain for a visit with his mentor. What?! He's Dead?! Nooooo!!! This scene made me cry, too. Poor Fei Long, how I wish I could comfort you, you big cutie. He didn't take it very well.

Vol. 8 - Rising Dragon, Into the Sky

At last, Ken wakes up. And for those of you who believe in learning through osmosis, check this out. He's learned to do the "Hadou Sho Ryu Ken", this weird blast of energy that throws his body like a cannon! Pretty cool move. He uses it to escape, and coincidentally uses it as a beacon for Guile and Nash, who were staking out the island. But what's happened to Ryu? They've implanted some kind of Cyberchip into his head, mind control!

Chun-Li is alive?! Not only is she alive, she's got a cyberchip in her head too, and she's turned into a mindless slave of distruction. Personally, I think she's pretty cool like this. Maybe Ken will keep her like this when it's all finished...
